Carpet Cleaning

  •  At Carpet Services, we believe the Standard Professional Carpet Cleaning Service should include the following: a timely arrival by the cleaning technician who looks the job over with you, points out any problems you may not be aware of (such as dye stains that won’t come out with regular cleaning methods), an accurate estimate of the cost based on your requests, the movement of, cleaning under, and replacement of all the major furniture pieces in the room(s) to be cleaned, and a final walk through to ensure that you are satisfied with the results. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, an issue can arise after we’ve left your home or business (such as a spot wicking back during drying).  If this happens, don’t worry.  We’ll be happy to come back and make it right with no additional cost to you.
  • Method:  Van-powered hot water extraction (commonly referred to as “steam” cleaning) is the recognized industry standard for carpet cleaning. The van’s engine powers the carpet cleaning machine and heats the water used to clean your carpets. We’ve been using this method for over 20 years and consider it the most effective. Most major carpet manufacturers require this method of cleaning to maintain warranty coverage of their product.
  • Goals: (1Get the dirt out. Seems simple enough, right?  We use a biodegradable, non-toxic, environmentally-friendly, odorless cleaning agent that won’t harm you or your pets, does a nice job of getting the carpet clean, and won’t leave behind any soapy residue which would cause the carpet to re-soil unusually quickly. (2) Keep drying time to a minimum. Not usually a problem in the heating season, warm dry air in the house helps moisture evaporate from the carpet rapidly. During the summer, when we’re sharing the outside air and all it’s humidity, drying can take longer. The process can be accelerated by the use of fans or (if available) dehumidifiers or air conditioning. Quick drying is important for interior air quality.  (3) Keep the price reasonable. At Carpet Services, we believe carpet cleaning shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg, but expensive is a relative term. Renting a portable unit from the hardware store isn’t the same as hiring a professional cleaner with a van-powered unit and many years of experience and won’t yield the same results,  but we’re sure you’ll agree the time and energy you’ll save and the superior results achieved by hiring the professionals at Carpet Services are well worth the difference.
  • Additional servicesSoil resistors like Scotchguard and Dupont Teflon are available upon request. These are not miracle products that will negate the need for your carpet to ever be cleaned again. They are an effective option to help the carpets resist soil adhesion and aid in interim spot removal. They wear off and are removed by cleaning so they need to be reapplied. It should be noted that many modern carpet fibers come from the manufacturer with these type of treatments already on them and are usually noted so.
